Over the next decade, the Central Corridor will change dramatically. But even today, artists, designers and residents are testing out new ways to live in the city. From growing food for their families in vacant lots to establishing social hubs for art and performance, the urban future is being made here and now. We call this the fantastic urban future. Over two days in October 2011, Rebar led a public bike tour across the Central Corridor as a part of the Central Corridor Public Art Plan outreach effort to make connections between the many people doing good work. These are some of the stops and stories we found along the way.About The Project
The Central Corridor Public Art Plan is a project of Public Art Saint Paul in partnership with the City of Saint Paul, City of Minneapolis Art in Public Places Program, Saint Paul Design Center, and Capitol Region and Ramsey Washington Metro Watershed Districts with consultants Cliff Garten Studio, Todd Bressi, Rebar, and Via Partnership, and funding from the Central Corridor Funders Collaborative.
